This meeting was held using Zoom video conferencing.
In attendance were: Norene Cragg, Ryan Brunt, Abe Buwalda, Wendy Karpuik, Susan Allison, Kim Maybee, and Cameron Baker
Meeting was called to order at 7:16 pm
- Abe advised all members that our landscaper is now Max Johnson. Max was. a previous owner here years ago.
- Composting:
- Ryan Brunt and Max (landscaper) will be setting up a new composting area some time around the end of this month. There has been concern brought up about some of the waste entered into the compost and how it may attract rats etc. Abe will make a small newsletter which he will distribute to all the units outlining dos and don’t for the compost bin.
- Tree and shrub trimming:
- Ryan has been helping out with trimming a few trees and taking one down. This brought up some other concerns:
- Wendy mentioned that the tree line behind her place is encroaching on her deck and may be responsible for a mouse seen earlier this year.
- Susan mentioned some possible dead branches in the pathway between the garbage bins and building 1600.
- Ryan will look into both of these and do what he can. Next year we will call in Davey Tree to trim back the tree line behind building 1602.
- Ryan has been helping out with trimming a few trees and taking one down. This brought up some other concerns:
- Dryer vent: Cameron mentioned that the dryer from unit 10 was still spewing out lint. Abe will keep an eye on this.
- Zoom Video Conferencing: Django looked into alternatives to Zoom video conferencing. He and Wendy tested out Google Meet and found this to be a good alternative. We will try this on our next meeting, expected to be in the spring of 2023.
